About this Month's Presentation with Sinclair Black

"Geography of Opportunity: Designing Austin"

Great buildings make for great streets, and great streets make for great cities. Please join us for a discussion on how Austin is a "Geography of Opportunity" for truly great urban design. Sinclair Black will discuss his work on "Great Streets" project as well as current planning for putting I-35 underground through downtown.

Sinclair Black is an award-winning architect and urban designer, author, member of the venerated College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects, and beloved professor emeritus at the UT School of Architecture. For more than 50 years, he has studied the vernacular of Central Texas architecture to create and inspire designs that celebrate and preserve the region’s natural and man-made beauty.
